Evolution Hockey Begins June 20!
Summer is here and signups for the Evolution Hockey Academy
have begun. This is a ten week comprehensive program for AA players or
higher. Featuring twenty of the most accomplished NCAA, ACHA, and Junior
coaches from across the country. This program will accept only elite players
and is meant to raise your game to the next level. Below you will find
program details, as well as information regarding enrollment.
Evolution will feature a four day per week schedule:

Monday: Classroom session,
off-ice workout, and private lesson rotation

Tuesday: Skill development
practice with Wolfe Hockey Instructors and off-ice workout

Wednesday: Practice led by that
week’s guest coach followed by an off-ice workout

Thursday: Full game (with
referee) which will be evaluated by the guest coach and taped for review
at a later time. Written evaluations will be presented to each player at
the end of the program. The scrimmage will be followed by a question and
answer session for both parents and players with the guest coach.
Program Costs
- Evolution Hockey
Academy: $3600
- Early registration
(before May 1): $3400
- College Players
(must have played one season in college): $2000
- In order for the
tuition to be prorated due to a pre-planned vacation, dates must be submitted at the time of payment
or before June 20, 2011.

Year round College and Career
counseling, all Wolfe Hockey
Development staff is full
time.

45 Ice Sessions (30 Evolution Skates, 10
skill sessions, 5 CDC/Pro
Exposure sessions)
-
Monday classroom sessions will consist
of: Lectures by Dr. David
McDuff (sports psychologist), Nutrition lectures by Heather Wolfe
(M.S.), College Guidance (resume building, college interview lectures,
lessons on physical appearance and how to approach target schools), and
Game film review (from Thursday games)

The Monday sessions will also feature a
rotation of private lessons
at Wolfe Hockey’s Ice Den,
located at The Gardens Ice
House. These sessions will
focus on individual skills
necessary to raise your game
to the next level.

Each player along with their parents
will have mid-term meetings
with program staff in order
to track progress and plan
for the future. Further
meetings will be available
upon request.

With your enrollment in Evolution Hockey
Academy you will also
receive admittance to the
Collegiate Development Camp
(CDC) at The Gardens Ice
House. This three day
program features coaches
from Middlebury, Hobart,
Skidmore, The Kent School,
and others.

Each student will receive a workout plan
at the beginning of the
program that features hockey
specific exercises. This
program has been created by
Nick Wells, strength &
conditioning coach of the
UMass Lowell men’s hockey
team.

Workouts will be held at the Wellness
for Life Fitness Center
located at The Gardens Ice
House, as well as on the
fields adjacent to The
Gardens Ice House.

Pool workouts will also be worked into
this program in order for
students to get a full range
of training.

All workouts will be in an effort to
prepare each student for
their future careers,
focusing on lifts and
exercises which they will
encounter at the next level.

Minimum age requirement is 14 years old
or a 1996 birth date.

Wolfe Hockey Development’s Pro Hockey
Exposure camp is also
included for all college
players.

An Ice Pass for the new Wolfe Hockey Ice
Den will also be included.
This Ice Pass is good
for the three months of the
program, allowing for three
hours per day of open ice.

- Include a four years hockey resume
- 3 references with contact information
- 4 teams that you wish to play for in the next 4 years
- Paragraph stating why you want to be in the program
- Parents interested in billeting? Contact us

- Students will be required to submit school transcripts, 4 years of GPA, SAT or ACT or PSAT scores
once accepted
*Upon review of your
background we will send you an application and program itinerary for the
entire summer.
